The Designer: Chris Lindenmayer (Rocksauce Designer) The Life Story: Born and raised in Shreveport, LA., Chris Lindenmayer recently made a move to Austin to join the Rocksauce Studios team as what he describes as an “app design samurai.” Prior to coming to Austin, Chris was an art director at a full-service marketing firm for over eleven years. He had the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients, producing motion graphics for TV, web applications, logos and identity packages. Chris’ passion lies in creating beautiful, eye-catching graphics that define and enhance a company’s brand. He has won numerous design competitions and they list it among the “top 40 under 40″ business professionals in Shreveport.   The Quote: “Every brand has its own rhythm and flow. Listen to each element carefully and the perfect solution will shine through.” The Project: Tripini   The Tools: Illustrator and Photoshop. The basic design was built in Illustrator and “skinned”/textured in Photoshop. The Influences: The design makes use of detailed, photographic textures. The goal was to give the entire app the feeling of “old luggage.” Note the use of leather and brass, particularly the luggage locking mechanism on the top of the app. The app has a vintage feeling, complete with the old-fashioned travel stickers and frequent use of martini glasses! “Click here if you will like to know more about Rocksauce Designers or be a part of the big family”
