My Trip With Tripini
It’s one thing to design an app — it’s another thing altogether to take the app into the field and see if the finished product works! I recently took a road trip to New Orleans and decided to Tripini, Rocksauce Studios’ new travel app, a run for its money!
But first, here’s the official description of Tripini, copied and pasted here for your reading pleasure!
“Tripini, the latest app designed and developed by Rocksauce Studiosfor ShonikIDEAS LLC (The same company that brought us Nevus) is available for the iPhone & Android just in time to help you prepare for holiday travels.
Tripini helps travelers to prepare for their upcoming trips with the use of a planner, secret vault and packing lists. Tripini will divide your trip into eight unique categories letting you plan your travels as efficiently possible by the use of it’s all in gorgeous, intuitive mobile app that is designed to make planning your vacation or business trip as effortless as possible.”
Tripini is available on Google Play & iTunes for the low price of $0.99. Plugs over!
Prior to my road trip, I was already intimately familiar with Tripini, mainly because I designed it! At the risk of bragging, I’d say it looks really, really good [He’s being humble: it’s a gorgeous app. -ed.]. However, I’ve seen my fair share of great looking apps that weren’t treated right in development, so I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to use it to plan my latest vacation.
Although Tripini was designed with fliers in mind, in ended working really well for a road trip! I used the Lodging feature to keep track of my hotel information and the Packing feature was invaluable for keeping track of what I was bringing (and making sure I didn’t forget anything). During the actual trip, I used the Breadcrumb feature to note some places of interest and when I return in the future, I’ll use Tripini to track them down again.
I was impressed by how versatile Tripini turned out to be. While I didn’t use every feature, those that were applicable to me worked extremely well. Someday, I’ll go on a trip that’ll involve rental cars and flight information and then I’ll be able to use the other features! The sheer number of options available in Tripini covered my trip and made it easier…I can only imagine how useful it’ll be on a larger scale.
